I moved my band’s site to justhost last week after finding them on this site with some nice reviews like u read below. I was so busy in the studio that week and I needed help transferring the site over.. Just host support staff offered to transfer my site for me for free and now it’s up and running perfectly.
Just host is low cost and they have all the features plus great support.
Since my literature blog took off I had to move from my old hosting. I chose Just Host and my site loads faster. Customer support is quick to help and very friendly. Instead of feeling like I’m a pain as with my previous hosting (I won’t name names), with Just Host I sense a genuine effort to help with any problems. It comes down to the feeling that Just Host likes what they do!

Cant fault the service I recieve. If there are any problems they are dealt with quickly and you always recieve an email explaining what the problem was. Their pricing is extremely competitive, with many options tailored specifically to your hosting needs. I’ve been with a few other hosting companies and they haven’t even got close with what JustHost are offering. Very good value for money, no major problems. Would readily recommend.
Easy to set up services (and I’m really, really dumb). Great support. Excellent value. Web mail applications are a bit clonky, but I think they all are. If you use a “proper” client, you’ll never know about all that. Can’t emphasise enough though… support was first class. Geniuinely, real “extra mile” stuff, when they could have easily told me “hard luck matey” and delivered a sermon about back-ups. Packed with features. I’ll shop at JustHost again..

There was an error with my payment so without any warning whatsoever they took my whole website offline. This is appalling service.
The “UNLIMITED” stuff is just a lie for marketing purposes.
1)
If you have more than 50000 inodes your account will be suspended.
(Inodes means files, emails, whatever. Problem is that the system is creating by himself all this bulk.
You think you have 20-30 of pages and instead your home folder is full of bulk and unnecessary files)
2)
You may not send more than 500 emails per hour (using ,of course, a script)
If you violate this rule then they’ll be forced to suspend your account.
So, for a serious hoster I advise you to look elsewhere.
The customer support is OK, but this doesn’t help you in these situations.
Being a photographer, I was very much impressed with the FTP server speed at JustHost.com, as I need to upload lots of heavy files for my photo gallery. Excellent 24/7 support team, the resolved all my problems quickly. They even helped me to configure my FTP client software. They are taking good care of my website. Few days back when ’some one’ tried to corrupt our site, it was picked up by JustHost as it happened, we were really not aware of the problem, until they told us about the ‘attempt’ to mess us up. Such a faultless hosting service, I recommend them fully.
I appreciate the low prices, but for goodness sakes, almost every few weeks, my site has a “database issue” and cannot be accessed. It is very, VERY annoying and bad for what I am trying to do when people contact me saying my site is down. Then I have to call support, who is outsourced, so they don’t speak English with an American accent… more like middle Eastern- which is fine, except it is hard to understand. Last time I called, the woman DELETED my entire site- I went to it and it was a blank wordpress page- really?!? Then recommended I pay the extra money for daily site backup. How about you not delete my site? Then I wouldn’t have to!!! I get frustrated with their support. Yes, it’s 24/7. Yes, they answer, but the quality of the support is not what I would expect. GoDaddy, whom I have used before, has better support agents.
@Dawana – sounds like you were being generous to give them 3 stars for support! That’s really uncool that the support worker deleted your site by accident, then recommended you get daily backup to avoid that in the future. What a klutz… sounds like shenanigans!
Awful. I left one hosting company for Super Green Hosting (Just Host in a different brand).
Every few weeks my site was down for hours with not support. Once up, the databases didn’t work.
They tried to fix it by moving me to another server but the ended up losing my database.
They are awful and be careful as they have other hosting companies under other names.
Look at the footer of the site, they are copyrighted Just Host.
So far we are happy with Just Host. This is my first time changing a domain so I was a little weary to “rock the boat”. But the pricing with Just Host was too good to pass up. It’s been 3 weeks now and everything is working fine. We had to tweak the Spam Filtering to work to the settings we were used.
Using the live chat option works better than calling for support.
They are really are there to work with you and solve your problems. I am pleased that I made the change over to Just Host
From your website review and viewing your video, I linked into justhost.com. After researching it a little, including their FAQs, I proceed to signup.
Today Jun10, 2010 on their website, it mentioned a special for $2.5(USD)/mo.
Clicked on Signup and the first page got me a automated discount coupon. I thought, OK thats excellent. Proceed to page 2…
Filled in the required info and a BIG surprise awaited. 3/4 down the page, I get a AUD4.95/mo pricing.
Now this got me sitting up. I checked everything, even to the extend of closing my browser and re-enter the signup page.
Still getting the same cost of AUD4.95/mo.
I then proceed to Live chat. Somebody with a signed name Paul got online. After a long chat, justhost.com final decision is they are sorry for the price thats on theire homepage but if I want to signup the USD2.5/mo is only available to a 48month term payable upfront.
Now this is not mentioned anywhere on their homepage or features page. Nowhere on their website other that page 2 of the signup page that it
mentions $2.5/mo is only for a 48month term term payable upfront.
Please publish this. I have gone thru a couple of other hosting signup process and I’ve not come across such blatant FALSE ADVERTISING

We are able to restore the account from our backup dated Jun 21 without downtimes
Please confirm this is the type of support justhost offers, the servers went down twice so far this month and when they went back up I needed tech support to help repair my site. We played email tag for days as response time was in HOURS sometimes overnite. There have been times when I never received a response. This is why I will be changing hosts when my contract is up.
I’ve been hosting with these guys for over 2 years now. I must say that at the beginning I thought that it was going to be a waste of time simply because of their dirt cheap prices.
I’m very happy to say that’s one thing that I was wrong about. Although, I did have problems using their e-mail service, but a quick chat with their support team and it was fixed.
Overall, these guys are experts when it comes to hosting and I recommend them to anyone who comes to me looking for a new host to go to.

– I attempt to transfer my domain to goddaddy. I find outthat my domain has been made private – even though I have never requested nor
authorized such action.
- I receive an email from justhost that my request has been received.
Aug 12
– I request my epp code and unlocking of my domain
– Yuriy Poliychuk from “transfers” forwards my request for my epp code to
“billing”
-“Katy” from support emails me at 1:40am where to go and how to pay for
renewal of my account with justhost.
Aug 13
- 11am I get the email and respond to billing and support that they have
apparently misunderstood my request
- Sevy Blanco from “transfers” informs me that my epp code has been sent
and the domain for my other website is unlocked
- I attempt to use the code in case it is the same and the transfer attempts
fail with a “authorization code” error.
– I reply to Sevy that I was never attempting to transfer X, but Y.
- I get an email from “Vadim Dodds” email address support@justhost.com saying the transfer failed.
Aug 14 –
My site is down. I send an email to billing, transfers, and support because I
don’t know who to contact at this point telling them I need the proper
authorization code.
– Alexander Burns from “transfers” tells me my domain cannot be transferred because it is expired and would I be “happy to pay for the renewal of the domain”?
- An unidentified person from transfers also emails me that my domain cannot be transferred because it is expired and would I be “happy to pay for the renewal of the domain”?
– I send forwards of previous emails and explain that I am NOT happy to
pay for their incompetence.
- I get a reply from Alexander Burns from “transfers” explaining when my domain expired.. Aug 13 at 4:39pm
- I reply, yes, of course, but I have been asking for help since the 11th and why should I pay for their failure?
- I get an email Saturday afternoon from “transfers” that I will beforwarded to billing which is not available until Monday Aug 16, 8 am
and this continues being passed on & around … coincidence? It looks like a scam to me. Oops, we made you pay again.
Just Host is one of the worst companies I have ever used. Their support is horrible!
After canceling my account nearly a month ago, I have still yet to receive my refund. I have emailed their billing department several times and each time they say they are sorry and will refund me immediately. I have now come to the conclusion that I will never receive my refund! Just Host is nothing more than a “fly by night” company. Enter at your own risk!
My office needed to transfer our domain from JustHost to a new provider. Not only did JustHost disable our email server, but they kept it in limbo for THREE WEEKS before making the transfer.
I made multiple calls to their support as did our IT Manager. Constant run around and unprofessional service with ZERO follow through.
If you rely on you hosting service for anything even remotely important, stay away from JustHost.
I have just joined Just Host and there service is very bad , it been two days since I have paid and register all my details my domain up until know is not resolving also they don’t reply to e-mail. I tried to sort out my problem via there Live chat and they simply just leave or close the session.
They also advise me that I cancel anytime as they don;t need clients like me. I am from South Africa and I am in hosting business for me I only joined after I read online about there good service and high rating.
I am trying to find out who is do there reviews.
So far not a good idea hoping it might change by tomorrow as by tomorrow I will send them an e-mail to cancel.
Wow, talk about horrible everything! I’ve used these people consistently for the past 3 months. I paid for 3 months worth of service and I can’t tell you how much of a mistake this was…. Their uptime is horrible, their customer support is practically non-existent. When I would call their support line, I was on hold for 45mins sometimes more but never any less than 30-45mins only to be disconnected. When I would contact someone from their live chat service they could hardly speak or interpret English properly and I would always be deferred to their email support which would take 2-3days just to get a response! In addition to the lengthy time it would take to get a response from this company it was generally a canned INCORRECT repsonse to the problem. When I emailed or asked to have someone from support call me they REFUSED to have anyone contact me via telephone. Needless to say, my 3months is just about up and I’m moving all my sites and clients over to WestHost. It costs more but they are USA based, answer their phones in 2/3 mins, and their staff is highly competent.
The other night I was doing some research on MySQL using Justhost in my search. I was floored to see the negative comments associated with Justhost. I have been using Justhost for some years now and I can say without a doubt this is the best company I have dealt with to date. I am running several websites from several different companies. So far Justhost has given me excellent service both on server side and tech support. I know a good bit about running a web server both locally and remotely. When I contact their tech support it is usually a complicated task to say the least. I do not remember a request offhand that took longer than sixty minutes to complete. Most request were handled right off of live chat and was instant. A few I had to open a ticket via email because of the complication level in which I was requesting. To date, I have not had to call them regarding an issue so I cannot comment about their phone support, then again I have never needed it.
Web options? I cannot even begin to list the option they offer directly off there Cpanel. There simply is not enough room here to list them all. Pearl, MySQL, PHP, Remote email, Email point of origin, Unlimited bandwidth, Unlimited sub-domains, the list just goes on and on. My uptime has been phenomenal across the board. The longest time to date that I have been down was two hours while my Ip on one of my clients was being transfered to a permanent IP address. This is to be expected during that time. I use dedicated IP’s and fast servers on most all of my clients sites now. However that was not always the case and even then I had almost no problem at all with Justhost service server side.
If you are simply confused about building sites and maintaining them then there are quite literally thousands of host out there that will cater to that. If you are somewhat savvy about web servers and there role then Justhost is definitely the answer to your web server. I make a good bit of money on the side doing this. If my web server is not working for me then I lose money. When I choose a web host you can bet your sweet ass I choose the best of the pack. If your looking to host web pages on a stable web server and need option above all the rest then you have found your answer. Best of of luck to you all.
Terrible sevice. Tony in support has to be the most rudest person I have ever communicated with. Sam on the other hand is not much different. They took my money via paypal and when I called them after not getting a confirming email. I was treat like a piece of trash. They hung up on my several times and when I tried to call back they just picked the receiver up and salm it down again. Must have caller ID. I never got my money back and never got the webhost service either. The bbb Better business Bureau has an extensive file of complaints against the, Sure wish I checked the bbb.com first. Beware folks. I had a very bad situation and if you were unlike like me.
