| iPower Overview |
IPower is located in Phoenix, AZ, which allows them a level of security in the physical sense that you would not see from many other geographical locations in the world. Ever since their start in 2001, iPower has been growing quite quickly and they are currently in employment of 250 workers and have over 700,000 customers. Those levels are quite impressive and when that is added to the fact that they keep growing, iPower becomes something special indeed. New accounts get the added bonus of:

| iPower Price Value and Features |
In terms of features, iPower is simply one of the best websites out there. Not only do they allow you to get your hands on plans that provide you with huge amounts of server space and bandwidth relative to the amount of money that you pay, but there are also a number of other great features that you can get from them. These features include different scripts to help with different areas of your website, a number of different plug ins that you can use depending on the particular niche that you are interested in as well as a very generous package including free setup of your account and a free domain name that comes with the purchase that you make. Finally, there is also a 30-day money back guarantee just in case you aren’t satisfied. |
| iPower Reliability |
| Reliability is important in the world of online hosting and iPower is one of the most reliable companies out there. With 700,000 customers, iPower definitely has the income to maintain redundant data centers in their operations and these redundant data centers allow your website to be kept running smoothly at all times. If one data center happens to go under, its normal operations are just taken over by the other data centers and this system of overlap between the centers means that the entire network would have to practically be taken out before something happened to your website; an event that has not happened yet. | iPower Control Panel |
The control panel of choice for iPower is the vDeck panel, which is one of the better control panels out there. Not only do you get a great "store front" to look at in terms of selecting what you want to do vis-à-vis maintenance of your account, but the vDeck control panel allows you to work with your domain names, e-mail addresses, shopping cards, site statistics, plug ins and databases all from the same piece of online software. It could not get any simpler than that! The control panel comes equipped with features such as:
|
| iPower Customer Support |
| In terms of customer support, iPower has the best kind of customer support; the type that is available 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Not only is there extensive documentation available on the website for you to read through, but you can also go through online chat, e-mail ticketing and telephone support services should you require service that goes above and beyond what static documentation can offer you. |
| iPower Web Hosting |
In conclusion, iPower web hosting has a lot going for it. Not only does it have the size and resources to make it a competitive company, but the overall package that it offers in terms of support, space and other features is extremely impressive. At length, it is good enough to make iPower slot into our top web hosting list! Price: Cheap (Below Average Cost) |

Between my wife and myself, we have three accounts with iPower. I have had good results with their technical staff (I work for a global company, so the minor internationally-related communication issues doesn’t phase me….we sound pretty wacked out to our off-shore cousins, too, you know). When I was a basic user, I found the level of tools and services a bit daunting, but now that I know how to use them, I’m having fun with our websites (iPower has online video tutorials for a lot of these free tools). If there was anything negative that I would say, it would simply be that it was my own fault that I didn’t realize that all three of our domains could be wrapped into my wife’s Pro Plan, so I’m paying a couple of hundred dollars more this year than I need to. Oh, well, it’s not their fault that I didn’t understand all of the features of the plan.
This company is completely imcompetent. I was advised to switch from a previous hosting provider to iPower and they have effectively shut down my business. For the past week and a half they have given me every excuse imaginable about why my email messages are continually interrupted and my web site was removed. The customer service department obviously doesn’t know what they are doing, because their information changes from call to call. I see on this site that they have a 30-day money back guarantee, which I am going to pursue before my business is completely ruined by iPower.
They did not renew my domain automatically as they had done for many years and as a result I lost my domain. Then they wanted me to pay more than $160 to get it back. All they said was that there is nothing they can do and that if I want it back, I have to pay. Then I tried cancelling my hosting plan and they said I would have to $35 to cancel it.
We had to move off Ipower as they are the worst. hour or two wait to talk with someone who has no idea why they are there !!! Excessive Downtime, all the time.
Don’t take this hosting, support is horrible and twice they removed all my files without a backup and during two months they deactivated my website by error…
Nice features at good price BUT….Polite but incompentent support; I have three business sites, for 3+ years. For the past nearly year, ALL of the email servers are blacklisted due to spammer on a netblock at Ipower. They cannot, will not and /or are fully incompentent to remove the offender(s). NO WAY should all of us good guys have to deal with this when it is published, daily, who the offender(s) are. They lie. Recently, since their move last year, they are just too big and too poorly trained and managed to be successful. I am moving all of mine and the hundreds we were going to open, NO WAY here!
PS…this is not news to them. I and my tech guys keep asking/telling them and they just act like they don’t care.
Well like the rest of the nearly 700000 folks, we have been down in excess of 14 hrs today. Their own site was down briefly ( about 1 hr) yet the rest of us are still down. The live chat still insists they are working on the problem. The problem is hard to zero in on as we have received a different answer throughout the day but it seems to have been a major server crash. They have told us they need to upload all the files for each site. I will be shocked if my our commerce store is in tact Super bogged down servers basically to many high traffic domains on small servers can’t handle the traffic. We have a monitoring program and we are generally up about 85-90% of the time but with “server was reset while trying to connect errors. Overall very frustrating and then again that’s why it’s only $100 a year.
my site and iPower are down. can’t get a hold of anyone either. Only blank pages coming up.
Anyone know what’s going on?
Ipower simply sucks. My site is down more than it is up and it has been down once this year for almost 3 weeks! My site this week alone has been down twice for almost half a day, and their site has been down too. This company needs to be shut down and all the management shot.. they are fucking assholes who have made my life as an online business owner both hell and an embarrassment.
IPower is without doubt the worst webhost I have ever experienced. Their “uptime” can be as low as 70%, for months-on-end. If your website uses MySQL it will run at a snail’s pace – if at all. Customer service is an absolute joke. The billing department has a repuatation for continuing to bill your credit card long after you have closed your account with them.
Ipower.com is really bad serivce. Be careful! Yes, they are cheap if you can be patient of their bad service. Please go ahead! Honestly, really be careful of this company.
Ipower is the worst. Stay away from them at all costs. They used to be good. Now are just awful. If you “try” to use their servers you will be in the same boat as the rest of us with no email, sites all down for days and they really do not care. Even top level support are rude and not very smart.
They help me get my forums set up fast and I’ve been using ipower for almost 6 months now. great!!
my 240sx forums run well here.. been with them since i started.. hopefully one day i’ll outgrow ipower but even with high activity my site is fast.
I use iPower to host my clients’ auto dealer sites as I specialize in auto dealer marketing. This is a good host for low traffic sales sites but I wouldn’t run a high traffic site on it with their server speed.
