HostHead aims to provide one of the most affordable hosting packages in the market. They do not simply resell packages of another company. They have their own physical machines in their data centers to support their hosting packages.
The Hosting Package
HostHead has several hosting packages that the customer can choose from, starting from the Mini Hosting plan, which costs $5.95 a month for the 250 MB disk space and 10 GB bandwidth. The Starter plan costs $9.95 per month for the 500 MB disk space and 30 GB bandwidth. Hosting plan B costs $24.95 a month for 1000 MB disk space, 80 GB bandwidth while the Hosting plan C costs $42.95 for the 1500 MB disk space and 160 GB bandwidth.
Their Hosting plan D costs $99.95 a month for the 2000 MB disk space and 375 bandwidth. Hosting plan E will cost you $159.95 per month for the 3000 MB disk space and 600 GB bandwidth. Lastly, their Hosting plan F costs $199.95 a month for the 4000 MB disk space and 750 GB bandwidth.
What’s Great About HostHead?
- Discount coupons available
There are lots of discount coupons scattered around the web from HostHead. They are very aggressive when it comes to giving out discounts and is one of the more recognizable names associated with promotional rates.
- Value for the money
Their packages are not only cheap, they also are packed with decent specifications. This gives you a lot of value for the money that you are paying them and is a very attractive offer both for newcomers and enterprise users.
- 30-day money back guarantee
HostHead offers a 30-day money back guarantee for those who are still scared (despite the discounts) to try out their service. This type of welcoming attitude is very attractive for most people and essentially takes out all of the risks that you are worried about when you want to try out a hosting solutions provider.
- Monitoring service
HostHead employs a third party monitoring service to make sure that all of the deployed services are not only supported through the 24/7 customer support hotline, but proactively monitored to make sure that early dips in performance are easily attended to.
What’s Disappointing About HostHead?
✖ Not much actual user reviews
There are not much actual user reviews about HostHead, which is quite surprising given the number of come-ons they employ to attract users. It’s either they got all quiet, satisfied customers or they didn’t catch any, even with the aggressive promotions.
✖ Inconsistent performance
There are times that the network speed dips and causes unexpected performance issues. They do not have the fastest available network and the most robust servers to beef up your system but if you only need moderate speed, then this is forgivable.
The Bottom Line
If you do not have high-caliber needs for your hosting requirements, HostHead is a pretty good option to consider since they are minimizing risks for you in terms of financial commitment, there are no horrific accounts of unreasonable down times plus there’s the 30-day money back guarantee to bank on.

Overall, I think HostHead is…
Overall, I think HostHead is quite okay compared with others. First off, they’re quite cheaper. And then, I personally like them because of their reliability. One time, I couldn’t upload my website properly around midnight. It was a great thing that they offer a 24 hour technical assistance. I was just really glad that the agent was quite supportive and without even waiting for a bit, they were able to fix everything and it didn’t happen again.
